How HealthVault works for device manufacturers

HealthVault can help device manufacturers grow their business by giving consumers new reasons to use their products. Users can move their data from a device to the Web, share it with others and use it in various applications that can connect with HealthVault.

Uploading data

By downloading and installing HealthVault Connection Center, a free program that runs with Windows, users can upload data from compatible devices to a HealthVault record. Once users have their device data in their HealthVault record, they can share it with friends, family members, healthcare providers and HealthVault-compatible applications. HealthVault lists compatible health and fitness devices in device directories for consumers and industry and in Live Search Health results.
