How HealthVault works for physicians

Patients can use a HealthVault record to track their medications, allergies, lab results and other data, using Web tools and personal health and fitness devices. Physicians can use connected clinical systems to receive this data. Easier access to a broader range of information from patients can help physicians provide better service and more efficient, informed care.

Informed decisions

Patients can more easily collect, save, and share with their physicians all the information about their health history. Physicians can also share information more easily with their patients, enabling patients to make more informed health decisions.

If you're ready to connect to HealthVault, contact the HealthVault business development team: hvbd@microsoft.com

Intended Use. Information from a HealthVault account can supplement information available to healthcare providers from other sources and provide a more complete picture of the patient's health. However, the information in HealthVault accounts is controlled by the individual, and is not intended to be a substitute for medical records. Information from HealthVault should not be used by health care providers to make treatment decisions without independent evaluation, and only after being copied into the healthcare provider's own system.
