How HealthVault works
HealthVault lets you collect and store health data from many sources, then use it with HealthVault-compatible Web tools that help you take charge of your health. HealthVault works with doctors, hospitals, employers, pharmacies, insurance providers and manufacturers of health devices—blood pressure monitors, heart rate monitors and more—to make it easy for you to add information electronically to your HealthVault record. With a more complete picture of your family’s health, you can work with your healthcare professionals, and with all the Web sites that connect with HealthVault, to get organized, make smart choices, and stay on target.

Additional compatible devices include peak flow monitors, scales, pedometers, pulse oximeters, and heart rate monitors.
To upload data from compatible devices to your HealthVault record, you need to download and install a free program called HealthVault Connection Center. This free program runs with Windows (System Requirements) and uses your computer to upload data from your device.
