As part of our commitment to high standards of security, we wanted to give you a heads-up that we will be turning on two-step verification on HealthVault starting next week. Two-step verification helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your HealthVault account. It uses two different forms of identity: your password and a contact method. Even if someone else discovers your password, they’ll be stopped if they don’t have access to your contact method.
When you log in to HealthVault or open a HealthVault app, you will be asked to verify your identity via your contact method. You should have received e-mail notification of this change last month, and we will start rolling it out on Oct. 11.
Please verify you have a contact method enabled to ensure uninterrupted access to your HealthVault account. You can check by reviewing your settings here.
