Share health data with your patients

There are many ways to share information with your patients with HealthVault. Among them:

Direct messaging — A protocol to send encrypted information directly from the EHR to HealthVault

Electronic CCD — Almost every EHR has the ability to save a "continuity of care document" in electronic format. Your patients can then upload the document into HealthVault.

Engage your patients

Patients can use HealthVault to gather all kinds of health-related data, including data from devices and records from other healthcare providers. HealthVault can then help give you a window into the health activities that happen outside your office.

Send data from HealthVault — Patients can send you data from HealthVault using HealthVault Message Center, which uses Direct messaging to encrypt the information in transmission.

Third-party apps — Patients can use third-party apps to easily show you information from their HealthVault account when they are meeting with you.

Address regulatory requirements

A commitment to the privacy and security of users' information is the foundation upon which HealthVault was built. HealthVault can also help healthcare providers implement Meaningful Use patient engagement objectives of the U.S. HITECH Act.
